How Much Do OnlyFans Models Make? Real Numbers — OnlyPedia guide

Most OnlyFans creators earn a modest side income; a small minority earns life-changing money. OnlyFans paid creators about $6.3 billion in the year to November 2025 across roughly 5 million creator accounts — about $1,260 per account per year, or around $105 a month, if it were shared evenly. It is not: in OnlyPedia’s sample the average active creator is estimated at $3,618/month, and the top 11.4% of earners take about 85% of all estimated income.

The platform-wide math

Fenix International’s accounts give the only official numbers. In FY2025 fans spent about $7.8 billion; creators received about $6.3 billion of it after the 20% fee. With about 5 million creator accounts, that is roughly $1,260 per account per year.

That figure is a ceiling for the “typical” creator, not a description of one. Many of those 5 million accounts are inactive or earn nothing, and a small number of stars earn millions. OnlyFans says 5,076 creators have made more than $1 million on the platform since 2016 — about one in a thousand accounts.

Why the average is misleading

OnlyFans earnings follow a power law: a few creators earn enormous amounts and the long tail earns little. In a distribution like that, the average is pulled far above what most people actually make, and the median creator (the one in the middle) earns much less than the headline number.

OnlyPedia estimates earnings for a sample of 342,273 active creators from public signals (likes, content volume, price). In that sample the top 11.4% of earners account for about 85% of all estimated income. The earnings bands and the concentration curve are charted in our OnlyFans statistics report.

Where creators’ money comes from

  • Subscriptions — free, or $4.99–$49.99 a month. Predictable, but usually not the biggest line.
  • Pay-per-view messages and posts — often the largest source for established creators.
  • Tips — one-off payments, frequently tied to requests, livestreams or chats.
  • Custom content — priced individually, sold through messages.
  • Referrals — 5% of a referred creator’s earnings for their first 12 months, paid by OnlyFans.

OnlyFans keeps 20% of each of these; the creator receives 80%. How that works in practice is covered in how much OnlyFans pays.

What separates top earners from the rest

  1. An existing audience. OnlyFans has little built-in discovery, so creators who already have followers elsewhere start far ahead.
  2. Consistent promotion. Top earners treat Reddit, X, Instagram and TikTok as their marketing funnel — see how to promote an OnlyFans.
  3. Active messaging. Replying to fans and selling PPV in chat is where much of the money is made. It is time-consuming, which is why some creators use agencies.
  4. Retention. Posting regularly keeps subscribers renewing; a page that goes quiet loses them.
  5. Pricing and niche. Free pages can out-earn paid ones through volume; a distinctive niche is easier to market than a generic one.

Realistic expectations for a new creator

For most new creators the first months bring a small number of subscribers and modest earnings, and growth depends almost entirely on promotion. Treat OnlyFans like starting a small business: it takes consistent work, costs time before it pays, and income can be irregular. Remember that earnings are taxable — see OnlyFans taxes. What about the celebrities?

Celebrity creators and top adult performers reportedly earn millions a year, and they dominate the headlines. They are real, but they are a tiny share of accounts. On OnlyPedia, each creator profile shows an estimated earnings range with a confidence level, built with the same public-data model — useful for context, but always an estimate, never an official figure.
